About this course

The MEAN stack — MongoDB, Express, Angular and Node.js — is a common choice for business applications where structure, consistency and long-term maintainability matter. Angular gives you a complete, opinionated framework for the browser; Node.js and Express give you a fast, flexible API layer; MongoDB stores your data as documents. Everything is written in TypeScript.

This course teaches modern Angular: standalone components, signals for state, the new control-flow syntax, and RxJS where streams genuinely help. You then build the API and data layer behind it and finish with authentication, testing, security and deployment.

Classes are live and hands-on. Throughout the course you build one application — an internal asset and service-request tracker for a mid-sized office, with employees, IT staff and managers — so each topic is applied to code you already know. Every week includes doubt-clearing time, and each module ends with a reviewed assignment, quiz or project milestone. Where recordings are made available they are for revision only; they do not replace attending live.

What this course is not: it does not teach programming from zero. You should already be comfortable with variables, conditions, loops and functions in some language.

Schedules and batches

Choose the schedule that fits your week. Both teach the same syllabus and the same 96 live hours; only the number of weeks differs.

Schedule comparison for MEAN Stack Development
ScheduleDaysLive hours a weekClassesLength before holidays
Weekday IntensiveMon–Fri, 1 h each596about 20 weeks
Weekend EveningSat & Sun evenings, 2 h each448about 24 weeks
  • Weekday Intensive classes are one hour, so each 2 h syllabus session is taught across consecutive weekday classes.
  • Weekend Evening classes run on Saturday and Sunday evenings; the exact time and time zone are set before a batch is confirmed.
  • Public holidays are not class days unless the instructor confirms a class. Holidays, instructor leave and cancelled classes move the end date later so no live hours are lost.
  • Plan about 6 hours a week of exercises, assignments and project work outside class.
  • Group, Duo and One-to-One courses all follow one of these two schedules.

Final project

Build and deploy a field-service job management system. A small appliance-repair company needs a web application where office coordinators log customer service requests, assign them to technicians and track each job from booking to completion; technicians see their daily schedule and record work done and parts used; and managers see open jobs, turnaround times and parts consumption. You receive a written brief with user stories and acceptance criteria, and build it individually or in a pair.

Deliverables

  • An Angular front end built from standalone components, with lazy-loaded routes, route guards for UX, reactive forms with validation, signal-based state and loading, empty and error states on every data view.
  • An Express and TypeScript API with versioned routes, Zod validation, a consistent error format and role-based access for coordinators, technicians and managers.
  • A MongoDB schema with documented indexes for the main queries and an aggregation report on job turnaround times per technician.
  • Authentication with hashed passwords and secure session cookies or short-lived tokens, and server-side checks proving a technician cannot read jobs assigned to someone else.
  • Automated tests: Angular component and service tests, Supertest API tests including authorisation denials, and one Playwright journey for assigning and closing a job.
  • A Dockerfile and Docker Compose setup, a GitHub Actions workflow that runs lint, tests and a production build, and a live deployment with no secrets in the repository.
  • A README with setup steps, an architecture diagram and known limitations.

The project is presented and reviewed live in the final week, with feedback on code quality, security and design decisions.

Questions about MEAN Stack Development

How long is MEAN Stack Development?

96 hours of live online teaching: about 20 weeks on the Weekday Intensive schedule (Mon–Fri, 1 h a class), or about 24 weeks on the Weekend Evening schedule (Sat & Sun evenings, 2 h a class), before holidays. Plan about 6 hours a week of exercises and project work as well.

When are the classes?

No batch dates have been announced yet. The proposed pattern is Tue, Thu and Sat, 7:30–9:30 pm IST; it is confirmed when a batch is scheduled. Book a free consultation to hear about the next batch.

What do I need before I start?
  • Basic programming in any language: variables, conditions, loops and functions
  • HTML and CSS basics: you can build and style a simple static page
  • Some exposure to JavaScript is helpful but not required; it is revised in the first module
  • A laptop with at least 8 GB RAM (16 GB recommended for Docker) running Windows, macOS or Linux
Will I get a certificate?

Yes — a ZORK Academy course completion certificate when you meet this course’s requirements, listed under Certificate. Paying for the course does not by itself earn the certificate, and it is not a university or government-recognised qualification.

Are classes recorded?

Where the academy has permission to record a class, the recording may be shared with your batch for revision. Recordings do not replace live classes, and attendance counts towards the certificate.

How do I pay?

The fee is a one-time payment in Indian rupees through Razorpay once online enrolment opens; ZORK Academy never sees your card or UPI details. The fee shown is proposed and may change before enrolment opens. Refunds follow the refund and cancellation policy in force when you pay.
